FAQs
What age can my child start climbing or learn to belay?
We welcome kids as young as 3 to climb with parental supervision.
Belay lessons are available for climbers ages 14 and up. All belayers must complete a belay lesson from one of our staff and pass a certification test before belaying independently in the gym.
What are the gym rules for behavior? (running, roughhousing, ropes, etc.)
Climbing gyms can look like a playground—but they are not. Safety is our top priority, and these rules are strictly enforced:
Walk at all times – running is not permitted
No yelling, roughhousing, or gymnastics (no flips, cartwheels, etc.)
Ropes are for climbing only – no swinging, pulling, whipping, or playing
Stay aware of your surroundings – do not stand or walk under climbers
Wear proper footwear – climbing shoes required while climbing
Take turns – share routes, walls, and ropes with others
Failure to follow these rules may result in a climber being asked to sit out or leave the gym for the day.
Can I drop my child off?
As a general rule, no. Children may not be dropped off for regular weekly classes. A parent or guardian must remain on-site for the duration of the class so you are immediately available if needed.
Drop-off is only permitted for designated programs such as our competition team and scheduled camps (spring break, summer camp, etc.)
This helps us ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone in the gym.
What should my child wear and bring to class?
Kids should wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement (shorts, leggings, t-shirts). Please avoid dresses, skirts, or loose/crop tops that may shift while climbing.
Climbing shoes are required while climbing. Rentals are included with enrollment in Little Rock Hoppers, Team Crushers, and Team Summit.
We recommend bringing a water bottle and a small snack—climbing is a full-body activity, and quick energy (like fruit snacks) can help kids stay fueled.
All food and drinks must be kept in designated areas (upstairs or on the couches). No food or drinks—including water—are allowed on the mats.
How do I cancel my child’s membership or class enrollment?
All cancellations must be submitted in writing using our cancellation form here
Verbal requests, emails, or messages to staff are not accepted as valid cancellation notice.
Cancellation requests must be submitted at least one week prior to the 2nd of the month (our billing date). Requests submitted after this deadline will result in the next billing cycle being processed.
All payments are non-refundable. Cancellation is not considered complete until you have received written confirmation from our staff.
